It's update time! Here we go!
Boats
The US order has been loaded onto the ship, ready to depart. This takes some time. I'm told it is normal, and it makes sense to me. They are getting the boat as full as possible before making the voyage. The estimated departure date is 4/24. So I will know more next week. Still looks like May fulfillment is feasible.
Other Goals
We've fulfilled 3 of the adventure bonus Stretch Goals for Print Hero and above. 3 more remain.
We've fulfilled the Fantasy Adversaries Vol. 1 Stretch Goal. Sci-Fi Adversaries Vol. 1 remains.
The early-bird reward, Wallace has been sent. We are still working on the Vehicles, Arch-Enemies, and Combat Cards.
Lone Hero
Yesterday, we released Lone Hero to the public. This was an add-on to the campaign. Everyone should have gotten an email that purchased it. If not, you can get it at our website or DriveThruRPG.

State of the Project - Week 23

Dear backers,
Last week was a slightly frustrating one, as we hit our first minor hiccup. The pickup of the core rulebook was delayed. It is now booked for pickup tomorrow 4/12. Let's hope it happens. I'm told that it should be at sea by 4/16.
Some good news is that the GM's Guide is printed and shipped to the warehouses. Both shipments will be there within days. Otherwise, I continue to release rewards and add-ons. The Lone Hero Print-On-Demand codes were sent out yesterday (4/10) to those that purchased it. If you didn't get it, but now want to, it will be available next week for public sale.
VTTs
I want to remind folks that we have a fully functional character sheet on Roll20. So folks can play there without delay. I'm also working with one of our backers, and GRPGA developer on Foundry, to bring Heroes & Hardships there. I hope between the two you can play on your favorite VTT and slay many a foe.
Upgrades
If anyone wants to upgrade their digital only pledge and get the hardcover, just let me know. I'll discount your original PDF price against the price of the core rulebook.

State of the Project - Week 22

Dear backers,
This week is much like last week. We are talking about fulfillment and freight.
1/3 of the Core Rulebooks have reached the UK warehouse. The rest of the order is scheduled to be picked up tomorrow (4/5/23). It will then take 20-30 days to reach the warehouse in the United States. Soon after, we'll begin fulfillment for all regions.
The GM's Guide Vol. 1 has been sent to the printer and should be printed and shipped to the warehouse within the next couple weeks. One lot is being printed in the US and the other the UK. This won't hold up fulfillment as both sides should get to their destination before the Core Rulebooks reach the United States.
Other Rewards
Otherwise, I've been continuing to work on new projects and the rest of what is due from this Kickstarter as add-ons, early bird rewards, and stretch goals.
We've already released the Fantasy Adversaries Vol. 1 (Stretch Goal), The Cook at the Crossroads (Extra Stretch Goal), 500 Paces (Extra Stretch Goal), and Lone Hero PDF (Add-on).
Errata and Digital Updates
In late March I released an errata and digital update for the Core Rulebook to v1.1. There will be an update to v1.2 at the end of April as well.
Blood & Doom
This game looks really interesting. It seems to be a spiritual successor to Adventure of an Age Undreamed of (Although is not 2d20).

Hello backers!
I have a few updates this week -- let's get into them.
Freight
The UK shipment has been picked up from the printer and is on its way to the UK warehouse / GamesQuest. The UK will fulfill all non-North American orders. The US shipment should be picked up this week. We will coordinate fulfillment so both will start at around the same time, even though the books will arrive at the US some time later than the UK.
Stretch Goal #1
You should have received a link from BackerKit to Fantasy Bestiary Vol. 1. I've decided that our bestiaries will be digital only unless we release a really big one. This bestiary has 20 new adversaries, plus some other new stuff (like ancestry traits, manifestations, etc). There's also a print-ready document for each adversary. If you didn't get a link for it, you should be able to log into BackerKit and get it that way.
“In the Gloom of Houndskeep” is part of the "Edge of Gloom" campaign, now adapted for the Heroes & Hardships RPG system. This adventure will test the Player Characters, over two to four sessions of game play, as they confront the growing darkness. Houndskeep is the last bastion against the Great Evil’s hordes, who seek to invade these lands. Once a safe haven, the reputation of the mountain fortress is diminished in the eyes of many, as Orcs, and even worse, harass the towns and villages that had once found succor under the watchful eye of Lord Falwyn of Houndskeep. The recent death of Lady Falwyn has former retainers speaking of ghosts and other threats against the Lord and his heir.
State of the Project - Week 20

Dear backers,
This has been an insanely busy week for me in a lot of ways. Sorry my update is a day late, but I have new stuff to share even from a day ago, so error in our favor! Let's get started.
Books are printed!
1,500 books have been printed by Standart Impressa late last week. Not proofs, but 100% finished. And I was very happy when they sent me one that got to me on Monday.
Needless to say, I am very happy with the results, I hope you will be too. If anyone wants to upgrade from digital to physical, just shoot me a message.
Freight
Now that the books are printed and packed, they are ready for their travels across the world. We have one shipment going to GamesQuest in the UK who will be doing our fulfillment for everything that's not in North America. The other shipment is heading to Flying Cloud in Maryland. The US shipment is scheduled to be picked up Monday. We're still in process with the UK shipment, as there's a few more hoops to jump through. Regardless, I am confident that in the next 6 weeks fulfillment should begin.
Next Steps
Obviously I am coordinating all the freight and staying in touch with fulfillment. But that mostly consists of exchanging various emails and phone calls. Otherwise, I'm NEARLY finished with the layout of Fantasy Adversaries Vol. 1 which was our first stretch goal. All Kickstarter backers will receive the PDF/At Cost Print-on-Demand code. I'll probably drop the PDF first, then the Print-on-Demand codes when I get in the proof from DriveThruRPG.
I want to spotlight our initial 3rd-Party publishers. Each of these adventures I have /personally/ helped convert to Heroes & Hardships. I can vouch that every one has something interesting that you can use for your games.
The first adventure is Keepers of the Pale Flame by M.T. Black. You might have heard of M.T. Black from his work on the Anatomy of Adventure which had over 2,000 Kickstarter Backers. This is a very cool PL fantasy adventure that I think everyone should give a shot.
