Dear backers,
I ordered a proof of the GM's Guide Vol. 1 from Mixam. This book uses digital printing technology, so it is cost effective to print just one book and use it as a proof. This is not really possible for off-set books, unfortunately. The proof should arrive in the next couple weeks and I can ready our order for the GM's Guide and that will be all set.
I am preparing the files for Standart Impressa, and that will likely be a couple of weeks of work. Then, when everything is finalized, they will print the core rulebook. They have quoted that it will only take about 2 weeks to print from the time they get confirmed files. This is a lot quicker than I was told earlier this year, so if that's true, you should see the books sooner than later.
I am working with fulfillment companies in both the UK/EU and the US. This is an ongoing process, but I will keep everyone in the loop. Same goes for companies to freight the books from Lithuania to the fulfilment centers. So far, everything is going smoothly.

Dear backers,
I hope you all received your alert from DrivethruRPG that the core rulebook files are now finalized. This happened a couple days ago. We can mark that book fulfilled! For those that already downloaded the early access version, you're all set. Everyone else, your files are waiting in Backerkit.
Printing
I had a very nice conversation with our printer this week, and I think we will see a fairly quick turnaround time on production. It won't be too long until the physical rewards are in our hands. I'm very excited about that.

I have a jam-packed update for you today. Let's get started!
Core Rulebook - Digital
I am about half way through with my final read through. I expect that I will be finished sometime next week at the latest. Shortly after, I will remove the Early Access wording from the DrivethruRPG project page and you will have the final files in hand.
If we find any errors afterward, I will fix those in the digital file, but it might be collected into an errata instead of making it into the print files.
Core Rulebook - Print
After the digital files are set, I will being working on the files for the printer. Most everything is ready, but I will need to make some adjustments here or there which I must to be very careful about. This will likely take a couple weeks and when I'm ready to submit the files, I will make the order. When I spoke to Standart Impressa about this a couple months ago, they informed me it would take about 50 working days to print. How long it takes to freight is current to be determined. But I'm hoping to get the book in your hands sooner than later.
GM's Guide
Those that backed at the GM Hero tier, or purchased the GM's Guide as an add-on (Yes, I changed the name from "notebook" to "guide"), you should have received the code for your files on Backerkit. This is the Early Access version. If you want to purchase this now, contact me directly an I'll hook you up manually.
Surveys
There are about 20 of you that are not in the $1 tier, or that didn't have their card declined by Kickstarter, which means you've paid full price for your pledge -- but you still haven't filled out the survey. If you do not do so soon, you will not have your name added to the print book. I simply cannot wait much longer in preparing for print. I also can't ship you any physical product, or send you digital codes via Backerkit. I won't be able to guarantee you will receive your books before general pre-orders. So please finish your surveys ASAP.
Pre-Order Page
Likely in the next month, I will be shutting down the Backerkit Pre-Order page and moving it to the Earl of Fife website. Pre-Ordering through Backerkit is going to get you the most bang for your buck. There won't be pre-order discounts when it goes for general sale, so if you know someone that wants this game, and they were waiting to get it, now is the time.
Lone Hero
Peter is starting to work on the solo rules soon. So hopefully, for those that ordered it, you'll see an early access version of Lone Hero soon. Speaking of Peter, check out his Kickstarter below.

Our artist has sent me the full 4-panel spread for the interior covers and end pages. They are quite impressive. We have some minor updates to make, but I expect everything to be finished this week.

Next Steps
Community comments have really slowed down, so I am about ready to start my final read through. Once that is finished, I will finish the digital only version and that will be updated for all backers. It can still be updated, of course, but those updates might not make it in the print version.
I will then begin the task of updating the PDF for print. Hopefully that only takes a couple weeks and I'll have the order into the printer by the end of the month or very early February.
Väruld - meaning 'world' in Old Swedish (Fornsvenska) - is a whole solar system with three habitable planets.
This book takes on the overall situation with the Allvaldughers, the human races, and what it means when a season lasts a lifetime. Then it moves to one of the planets - Fyrst - and gets into detail about three of the areas there.
You get maps of the areas, geography, history, and descriptions of cities, villages, and other points of interest.
This is a core world book for any Game Master planning a campaign in what appears to be a classic medieval fantasy environment with some perks.
The author, Des Nordlund, recommends Heroes & Hardships for this system agnostic setting!

The new year is here and I am busy putting the final touches on the files as we prepare for print. Our interior cover art spreads are still being completed, and what I've seen so far makes me quite happy.
GM's Notebook Changes
I intended to include a 5E conversion guide for monsters to H&H. This was in an attempt to simplify the process for anyone that wanted to do something like that. Unfortunately, with the upcoming OGL changes, I do not feel comfortable including that content. If you're not aware what's happening, there are a lot of articles out there. Here are a couple below:
So, in short, I won't be adding that to the GM's Notebook. I will happily send a draft of those 'rules' for anyone that wants them, 100% for free. Easiest way to get them would be to join our Discord. I'll post them there at some point.
Don't worry, though, the GM's Notebook is loaded with content and probably 80% complete.
